The Arizona Dystonia Institute in collaboration with the Translational Genomics Research Institute is seeking individuals who have been diagnosd with adult-onset idiopathic (of unknown origin) cervical dystonia (spasmodic torticollis) to participate in a new research study to determine if there is a genetic basis for adult-onset idiopathic cervical dystonia. Participants will be asked to give a sample of blood from which DNA will be extracted and used in an attempt to identify genetic cause(s) of adult-onset idiopathic cervical dystonia.
